Maharashtra Board Marks Verification, Photocopy & Revaluation
If you are not satisfied with your Maharashtra Board result, there are three official processes: marks verification, photocopy of your answer sheet, and revaluation. These are distinct steps and must be applied for in a specific order — photocopy is a mandatory prerequisite before revaluation.
The window for these applications opens roughly two weeks after results (in 2025, it opened on 14 May). Applications are submitted online through the official verification portals.
Verification, photocopy, and revaluation
| Process | What it does | Fee (2025–26) | Where to apply |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marks verification | Checks for totalling errors and unmarked answers | ₹50 per subject | verification.mh-ssc.ac.in or verification.mh-hsc.ac.in |
| Photocopy | Provides a copy of your answer booklet for your review | ₹400 per subject | Same portals; apply first before revaluation |
| Revaluation | Full re-evaluation of your answer script by a new examiner | Confirm on portal | Must apply for photocopy first |
Fees are from 2025–26. Confirm current fees and the exact window dates on the official portals — these can change each year.
How to apply for photocopy and revaluation
- Wait for the verification window to open — The portal opens roughly two weeks after results. Do not apply before — the link is not active.
- Apply for verification or photocopy first — Log into verification.mh-ssc.ac.in (SSC) or verification.mh-hsc.ac.in (HSC). Select the subject and process.
- Pay online — Payment is accepted via UPI, debit/credit cards, and net banking. Save the payment receipt.
- Apply for revaluation only after getting the photocopy — Revaluation requires a photocopy first. Use your photocopy review to decide whether revaluation is worthwhile.
Marks can change in any direction after revaluation: Revaluation can increase marks, keep them the same, or in some cases change differently. Apply only after reading the current rules and reviewing your photocopy. Confirm exact dates and fees on the official board portal before the deadline.
