Maharashtra Board Supplementary Exam (Purak Pariksha): SSC & HSC
If you fail one or two subjects in the main February–March exam, you may be eligible for the July supplementary exam (purak pariksha). This gives you a second chance to pass the same academic year without repeating all subjects.
For 2025: SSC supplementary ran from 24 June to 8 July; HSC general/bifocal from 24 June to 16 July; vocational until 11 July. Results for the supplementary exam are typically declared in August.

What to do if you failed one or two subjects
- Check eligibility for the supplementary — After the main result, check whether you qualify for the supplementary — the board defines the subject-failure threshold each year.
- Fill the exam form in time — Supplementary exam forms must be submitted through your school or the official portal in May–June. Do not miss the deadline.
- Prepare specifically for the failed subjects — Focus on the subjects you failed. Use official model papers and past papers for those specific topics.
- Check your supplementary result in August — Results are declared on the same official portals as the main result. Save the marksheet immediately.
