Exam day for Maharashtra Board SSC and HSC is far less stressful when the logistics are sorted in advance. Knowing exactly what to carry, when to reach your centre, and how the exam hall works lets you spend your energy on the paper rather than on last-minute panic. Most avoidable problems on exam day come from forgetting the hall ticket, arriving late, or carrying something not allowed.
This guide walks through what to prepare the night before, what to take into the hall, and the rules to follow so the day runs smoothly from reporting time to the final bell.
Before you leave for the centre
- Keep your printed hall ticket ready — You must carry the printed hall ticket (admit card) to every theory exam. Check that your name, photograph, seat number, exam centre, subject, and date are correct, and keep a spare printout in case one is damaged.
- Pack a transparent pouch the night before — Prepare blue/black ballpoint pens, an extra pen, pencil, eraser, sharpener, ruler, and any board-permitted instruments (for example a geometry box for Mathematics). Packing the night before avoids a morning scramble.
- Carry a valid photo ID — Take a valid photo identity document (such as your school ID or Aadhaar) along with the hall ticket. Some centres check ID at entry.
